SUBLIMOTION: THE FIRST GASTRONOMIC SHOW OF THE WORLD.
A restaurant where only 12 people can sit? Sublimotion, located in the heart of the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, premieres its gastroshow for the sixth season with Paco Roncero, the “alma mater” of the project.
Have you ever wondered what the most sublime dinner in the world is? Well in this post we will reveal some of its secrets.
It all starts when you come through the door and find yourself in a small vintage room, where the Sublimotion team invites you to climb a lift that transports you directly to the famous room where the Sublimotion table is located.
Ana Vide receives us accompanied by the rhythm of Jazz and the experience begins. The chef, Elena Arzak, is in charge of starting the gastronomic proposal and for starters she has reimagined the classic “eggs with potatoes” which she has crowned with delicious caviar. When the diners finish the first course, the scene suddenly changes and transports the customers to a meadow where they can taste an authentic orchard of vegetables that sprout directly from the ground. This is only the beginning, shortly after the diners are in the middle of desert and thanks to the engineering team Sublimotion the next dish descends from the heavens: osmotized cactus leaves and mole sponge cake are just some of the ingredients you can expect from the dish. The trip does not end here, Sublimotion is jumping from one culture to another, from one place in the world to another in less than a second and the next jump transports them to Asia where they can taste authentic sake. As if it were a time machine, attendees will travel to the year 2050 where they will discover how their dishes come to life thanks to the technological equipment of Sublimotion. After an incredibly realistic trip , it sends us to the 40’s where the whole room has been transformed into a cabaret where waiters of the time will serve us another delicatessen of the house: the “quail stuffed with mushrooms and foie with pumpkin flan” while enjoying an authentic live show at the hands of a cabaret dancer.
At the end of the show, the room changes once again and attendees will board a plane in which they will taste another of the team’s creations in the form of an airline menu. This plane will transport you to a destination that will be decided in the heat of the moment, you will be ambushed with a dish holding the characteristic of the destination.
Then, the night becomes rockier, to the rhythm of AC / DC to welcome the most hellish dish of all.
To finish the dinner, the whole room will become a blank canvas where the waiters themselves will paint the dessert designed by the Asian chef Janice Wong.
When everything seemed to be over, DJ Wally Lopez makes an appearance and transforms the whole room into a nightclub where the attendees will feel all the rhythm that Ibiza can offer. After finishing, the clients are escorted to an outer room where the party continues and where they can taste some cocktails designed especially by the Sublimotion team, putting the finishing touch to a very special night.
