Being the highest point, a natural “Mirador” and the older part of ibiza, Ibiza Town is surrounded by a fortification built to protect it during ancient times by Charles Vth.
It is considered a unesco heritage site and is one of the most visited spots by tourists and locals alike.
One of the most important parts of this site is the Castell de ibiza, one of the oldest edifications in the whole island!
Sitting atop D´alt vila, its the highest point in the whole island and oversees the whole city and gives a clear view of what you just went through or what you’re about to come, either way it makes you experience life in a whole new light.
Right next to the overlook, we find the museum of contemporary art held at ibiza, this year its accompanied my a Lowe pop up shop but still open to public, it holds the most beautiful art pieces found in ibiza, a sight I wouldn’t miss for anything in the world if you consider yourself an art aficionado.
Ibiza is know for its old architectural style and of course, maintaining this style almost intact, even with the attempts to modernise along the years. One of these buildings that has long outlived the futuristic wave is the Cathedral of Ibiza, one of the most iconic buildings and attractions, the cathedral still holds its masses and is open to all the public, an amazing display of faith and architectural prowess.
